OnMed has officially launched its first CareStation in Hidalgo County, Texas—a transformative “Clinic-in-a-Box” designed to deliver free, private, and real-time virtual care to residents regardless of insurance status. Located inside the Hidalgo County Health Department-McAllen Clinic, the station is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools and bilingual clinicians, offering a safe and efficient healthcare experience for patients aged 2 and up.
This initiative, supported by Molina Healthcare and United Healthcare, addresses critical gaps in care for a region where nearly one-third of residents are uninsured. With a 19-minute average appointment time and a self-sanitizing cycle between visits, the CareStation is redefining what accessible care looks like.
